I once was interrogated by the Secret Service...
I was taking classes in Boston near the end of President Clinton's term in office. One of my classes was located down the alley at Bull Finch Street (Cheers is on the corner). On the way to class, I noticed numerous barricades and police. I asked and found out that Clinton was visiting a friend who had a brownstone across the street from my class building. When my class took a break an hour later, I stepped out onto the fire escape with a few other people for fresh air. Within seconds, the secret service had stormed the classroom. They wanted to know who we were, what we were doing, and why there wasn't a teacher in the room. We tried to explain that the class was taking a fifteen minute break, but they seemed less than convinced. They bombarded us with questions until the teacher came back and assured them we were telling the truth. But for just a few minutes...I was considered a threat to national security!
