About Jeopardy Story
A couple of summers ago (2005) while regularly watching Jeopardy!
I became somewhat obsessed with the thought of what my Jeopardy! Story would be. What would be the story
that I tell Alex Trebek after the first commercial break? It always amazed me what people were willing
to tell the world about themselves. Whether a dopey love story, a celebrity encounter or some extreme travel experience, contestants seem very at ease with caricaturing themselves during their thirty seconds in the spotlight.
The Jeopardy Story website grew out of my fascination with these stories. From the banal to the bizarre I decided I wanted to organize these stories online. Most of us will never get the chance to share our story with Alex, but this site lets anyone have his or her moment.
The other purpose of this site is that it serves as a programming playground for me. Here at JeopardyStory.com I get to experiment with great open source frameworks like The Castle Project,
jQuery and Mapstraction. All software developers need a beta. JeopardyStory.com is mine. If you're a geek too and interested in some of the technology on this site,
check out my site on open source and .NET at Code Voyeur.

Finally, this site is in no way affiliated or endorsed by anyone from Jeopardy! or Sony. In many ways, this site is a tribute to what is easily the best game show ever... But again, the content in or concept of a Jeopardy Story is local to this site...
